As many activities as were available. It was easy to find time and space to relax at Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya. I took a mom break and tried out the largest spa in the Caribbean, located on site of the Hard Rock All Inclusive Riviera Maya. I booked a massage and spent some quiet time in the steam room. My husband and I enjoyed some quiet beach time while the kids were busy with planned activities. Those activities were offered at no charge through the resort. I also enjoyed my coffee almost every morning on my private terrace with a view of the ocean. Private terrace was available with every room, complete with a hammock and view of the ocean.

The lush grounds of the resort beckoned us to explore the many paths and trails that connected our resort to Heaven, the neighboring Hard Rock resort. My children marveled at the crystal blue colors of the sea that you could see from almost any spot of Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya and we decided there was nothing more lovely than white sand and an endless ocean.

The Hard Rock All Inclusive Riviera Maya is made for children without losing its five-star appeal for parents who long for beauty and serenity amidst child-friendly activities. If anything, we needed a few more days to take advantage of all the fun here. It was hard to choose between snorkeling or floating on the lazy river between trips down the tunnel water slide or the zip line, a short climb away. We adored the evening shows and lobby fun which included a magician and whacking a piata.

Steps away from Hard Rock All Inclusive Riviera Maya is the brand new Woodward, a one-of-a-kind experience in 20,000 sq. ft. of indoor space. Our youngest adored the two-hour slot each morning for children under age six where he bounced and slid and climbed, all with the help and assistance of incredibly kind and welcoming staff members. While he played, my older children took an opportunity to play some video games and foosball over at the Cavern Club, just for older kids, part of theHard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya. When it was their turn at the Woodward, they explored the ramps with scooters and even pretend skis. Yes, a wide array of sports programs were available including BMX, skateboarding and indoor dry land snowboarding and skiing. All training equipment is included in your entry pass, available by the hour, day or week.

The Hard Rock All Inclusive Riviera Maya directed us to take advantage of swimming with whale sharks. It was once in a lifetime opportunity to swim with whale sharks. They migrate each August a short drive away from the resort. TheHard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya lined us up for a boat trip and nearly thirty minutes later, we came upon dozens of the worlds largest and kindest creature. Our boat captain directed us when and where to jump and we marveled at the beautiful creatures. Following the experience, we traveled to a lovely beach. Our captain and first mate fixed fresh fish on the back of the boat.

If you are not certified do not worry! You can try diving in the pool for free or if you are already a certified diver you may continue your career with us as we offer courses from zero to instructor development and technical diving courses and specialties.

If you are already certified, let us take you to discover the beauty and rich biodiversity of the second largest reef in the world located at just a few steps from your hotel room! Or, we can also take you to dive or snorkel in Cozumel and the Cenotes!

A place designed for the little ones. Relax and forget about the kids for a while, leaving them in a safe place where they will have lots of fun. Let us take care of your children from 4 to 12 years of age at the Kids Club where they will have a great time with lots of fun activities.

After the kids go to sleep at night, or while they are in the kids club during the morning, you can sneak out to one of the awesome bars, relax in the yoga hut or in the Zen Labyrinth at Heaven.

This means you have Wi-Fi access everywhere, 24-hour room service with a varied menu, and the moment you put down an empty glass around the pool or in a restaurant a waiter will appear seemingly from nowhere and ask you if you want something else.

My wife almost had a heart attack because there was none of their to-die-for chocolate ice cream left. Luckily, they managed came to the rescue within a few minutes with a good liter of ice cream (which she dutifully finished, of course).

So unless you are one of those people where the look of the beach is so essential, these lagoons are pretty good alternatives and in some cases actually much better than the open ocean or traditional beaches.

In fact, this could actually save your vacation during inclement weather since you can still swim, snorkel or kayak while in other hotels with open beaches the red flag would stop you from doing any of these things.

Some popular brands of cartoon figures such as Thomas & Friends, Bob the Builder and Barney cooperate with the Hard Rock Hotels, which means your kid can play in an amazing and already familiar surrounding.

It had a VERY nice selection to prepare an AMAZING salad bar, good cheese platters, salmon, a variety of bread, and excellent desserts (I would pay for a day pass just to return for the chocolate ice cream any day!).

Our chef was practically a circus artist playing with knives, fire, and eggs while preparing our dinner. He was genuinely nice and happy which added a lot to the experience.

This ideal location is great for families or groups where some may prefer to spend the day wining and dining up and down the Quinta Avenida while the golfers amongst them tee off on a world-class course minute away.

This hotel already hosted a Bon Jovi concert and also home of the Cancun Jazz Festival, which brings the best of smooth jazz right to the Riviera Maya. As you can imagine, the Hard Rock is ready for big events.

I would say the Hard Rock Hotel is a great branded hotel with an extra touch involving music, but music in general, not just one genre. In fact, you can find photos and original musical instruments or stage clothing of rock, pop and rap artists.

The Hard Rock in Cancun is a much smaller resort with a lot fewer options for pools, food, and nightlife, however, the beach and ocean here is incredible! You are also right in the center of Cancun if you wanted to venture out for shopping and alternative nightlife. The Hard Rock Riviera Maya is a huge resort with an adults-only haven, tons of options but the only compromise is the beach, it is a lot rockier in parts. However, in the Riviera Maya, you are in close proximity to all the top attractions the region has to offer. If you wanted to do some shopping you are a short taxi journey away from downtown Playa del Carmen. Hope this helps. ?
