Hi,

Long story but when I launch an app VM that is pointing to the fedora-24 root image (says so on the Qubes VM Manager), it actually looks in the fedora-23 folder. In dom0 I have verified that the image file exists in the fedora-24 folder, and doesn't any longer exist in the fedora-23 folder (this is correct).

Somehow the base template is simply pointing to the wrong place, how can I correct?

Thanks,
Patrick

Have you tried having a look at (edit?) /var/lib/qubes/appvms/<yourvm>/<yourvm>.conf?

Thanks Jarle,

I just looked at it, and there is no reference to fedora-23, everything is fedora-24. Is there something else to look at?

remove all templates with this method https://www.qubes-os.org/doc/remove-vm-manually/

Then just install fedora 24 template from repos.
