The CPU doesn't have vPro, but supports VT-d (and it works).
The chipset is QM77 - it does support vPro, but because the CPU doesn't it should be OK (or at least I hope it would be). It also supports VT-d.
VT-d and VT-x can be enabled from the BIOS - at least they could on the unit that I got.
The RAM can be upgraded - it supports 16 GB max, dual channel (2x8gb).
It seems to still be for sale at some places - for about $600.
It looks like these are some final units they are trying to get rid of...
