Is there any timeline for the release of 4.0.2 Final?

This is a very appropriate question, since we mentioned in our 4.0.2-rc1
announcement that "If no major issues are discovered in 4.0.2-rc1, we
expect the stable release of 4.0.2 to follow in a few weeks." [1]
It's been more than a few weeks since then, so it's a good question.

Unfortunately, two major issues were discovered:

1. An update bug that affects Debian 10 and Whonix. [2] A fix for Debian
is already available. The fix for Whonix is in development.

2. A pending security issue that the Qubes Security Team is currently
addressing.

We don't currently have a timeline for how long it will take to address
these issues, but we're currently working on them and will provide an
update as soon as we know more.

There is another "bug" in 4.0.2-rc1. [1] "linux-firmware-20180402-83" was released missing the file "amdgpu/polaris11_k_mc.bin". [2] "linux-firmware-20181219-89" seems to fix the issue.

Most, if not all, Radeon GPUs based on Polaris 11 (Radeon RX 460/560 / Pro 450/455/460/560) attempting to install Qubes 4.0.2-rc1 ends up with the error "X startup failed, aborting installation".

In dmesg, you get something like:
kernel: mc: Failed to load firmware "amdgpu/polaris11_k_mc.bin"
kernel: amdgpu 0000:01:00.0: Fatal error during GPU init

I had a 4.0.2-rc1 working with a Radeon RX 560, [3] installing Qubes with a kickstart file and [4] installing "linux-firmware-20190514-96.fc29".
