Hi all,

I installed Qubes 3.2 with KDE and XFCE with the intention of continuing
to use KDE as I did before. However, there were so many problems and
bugs that I decided to use XFCE in the hope of having less of those.
Although, it is not bug free, it works a lot better, so I would like to
remove KDE from dom0 now.

I already tried removing the @kde-desktop-qubes group, but that wants to
remove all sorts of other rather essential packages.

Kind Regards,
Torsten

Take a look at `dnf group info kde-desktop-qubes`. Also `dnf` by default
removes not only packages which require those selected to remove, but
also those no longer needed by any of remaining. So, maybe just marking
some of those packages as manually installed will be enough:

sudo dnf mark install PACKAGE_NAME

You can do the same with `qubes` group - containing Qubes core packages:

sudo dnf group mark install qubes

Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
