Unable to play DVD's

I have recently installed Qubes3.2 on a Thinkpad T430. I currently have the problem that I cannot play any DVD's. I have tried to attach the DVD drive to a Fedora and a Debian VM, made sure that libdvdcss2 is installed, tried different media players, but nothing seems to work. Trying to play the DVD with VLC only gives me the following error: "core input error: ES_OUT_RESET_PCR called".

I was thinking that the error might be caused by an invalid region. But running regionset within a VM only produces an error ("Can't set region code").

Does anyone have any ideas what the issue could be and how to solve it?
