I'm trying to reinstall the whonix ws template but while seems to find
it it then says there is no match?

That means you have an older template package that was removed from the
Qubes servers, so it can't be reinstalled as the same version.

When that happens, you can use '--action=upgrade' instead and it should
grab the latest available version.

Thank you for the suggestion, i tried upgrade instead of reinstall but
got the following:

[bob@dom0 ~]$ sudo qubes-dom0-update --action=upgrade

Then tried reinstall again just for the heck of it and still got the
same response.

I think this has something to do with the update VM (sys-whonix) being
based on Debian. The workaround would be to use the Manual method shown
at the above link.

I gave the manual way a try and removing the template and then i tried
to install the whonix-ws-15 template i got:

That worked for me, exactly as you have type it.
Perhaps the repo has been updated?
My only suggestion is that you keep trying: Are you running this over
Tor?

If you really typed it like this, the backslash followed by the space right before the template name actually made the template name to be “ qubes-template-whonix-ws-14” and that can’t be found in the repository...
