Hello all,

recently I have discovered a new panel item called "xfce4-diskperf-plugin".
Unfortunatelly it does not work. Mouse-over brings up an overlay with the information "Device statistics unavailable".
Research in Qubes users group has ended with no helpful outcome.

I already have startet some tries with sysstat (sar & iostat) and built-in vmstat.
All these efforts had worked for itself.
The plugin is preconfigured for /sda but I only have /dev/nvme0n1 instead.
	sudo smartctl -a /dev/nvme0n1

Output: "Error Information" (NVMe Log 0x01, max 256 entries) No Errors Logged
Smartd.service had a problem while detection my nvme but I was able to fix this by editing file /etc/smartmontools/smartd.conf
-> comment out "DEVICESCAN*" and fill in: "/dev/nvme0 -a"

After further efforts I found that nvme's have only been considered since version 6.5 of smartmontools
https://www.smartmontools.org/wiki/NVMe_Support#SmartmontoolsNVMesupport1
"Smartmontools supports NVMe starting from version 6.5. Please note, that currently NVMe support is considered as experimental. Currently implemented features: "

For more information I oversend you status output from:
1. systemctl status sysstat
2. service smartd status
(Please have a look in attachments)

The version of the plugin is 2.6.0
Even if the version is not stable, I hope that someone has already gained experience in this regard and please share it :)
Thank you in advance for your effort!!

Kind Regards,
Fabian
