Mouse cursor is freezing

Hello!
I don't know what the exact issue is but I noticed lately that
my mouse was freezing (I'm using a touchpad).
This is the first time I got this issue.
The rest of the programs don't seem to be affected, only the
mouse cursor is freezing when using the touchpad (I couldn't
test with a USB mouse since I don't have one).
Did anyone else experience something like this? And how can
I fix it?
