In anon-whonix or other VMs derived from whonix-ws, all the characters in the Action->Move/copy dialog body are black squares (except the title bar which looks fine). If I type characters they are also the black blocks. If I get the name of the VM right, the file copy *does* work. It's just hard to see what I'm doing because everything looks like [][][][][][][]

Running the template whonix-vs directly, the Action->move/copy file dialogs look fine.

Has anyone seen this?

I'm running Qubes release 3.1. It's installed as a VMware guest (I know it's not secure; I'm just testing stuff). Everything else seems to be working pretty fine.

More information: it seems to be limited to when the file explorer (dolphin) is started from within the privacy browser.

When I go to the same folder from a Dolphin that was started from the Qubes menu, the characters in the dialog display properly.

Yes, I've noticed this as well. It seems to affect at least a couple
of different programs (Dolphin, Gwenview). The problem also goes away
after restarting the VM.

Please list any other applications where this is happening if any. This
may help find out more about this issue. I.e. is it only happening with
KDE-ish applications or also GNOME-ish applications.

Cheers,
Patrick

Those are the only two I'm aware of, but I'll keep an eye out for more.
