Hello, I want to buy a new laptop for Qubes.
I'm thinking about Asus Vivobook S15. I'm already checked it at the shop and Qubes R4-RC5 (I quess it is the same as Q4-release) loaded fine to installer, but touchpad does not work. Any change that it will work after Qubes will be instated to notebook when I will buy it? I quickly google about this problem and found that for some other ASUS touchpad people suggest to add some option to grub to load touchpad at PS/2 emulation mode. What do you think will it help?

P.S. Also this notebook have intel wireless card on the board. Qubes installer don't give a change to check will it work ( this is a bi omission ) or not before I will buy it and system will be ready. I guess that it will NOT work. What will be the next steps? Notebook leak LAN Ethernet port. Somehow I must download driver then I must install it at sys-net? What driver to download? Official ASUS site do not provide linux driver for S15 laptop...

Thanks

Might help.

Switching sys-net to the Debian template might work. Suggest taking
advantage of the shop's return policy and trying to get Qubes installed
and running on the laptop, but returning it if you can't.
