When booting: Is it normal that the screen remains black until some of the last code is loaded ?

I have noticed that the screen when booting often remains black until some of the last code is loaded which is just before the GUI is loaded. Meaning that I don’t see the black Lenovo boot-screen.

Is that normal behavior, or can it be caused by malicious code as I also wonder why Qubes Recovery couldn’t see that Qubes was installed on the pc ?

It sseems the black screen behavior only appear every time I turn on the pc.

Every time I restart the pc before or after login, the Lenovo boot screen appear.
