Hello,

I tried this:

VM Manager -> Win7 VM --> Attach block device.

but it does not work for me. Every time I attach a block device Qubes Manager shows that it is attached, but
I can not access it.

Note: I don't have intel vt-d (IOMMU) support on my laptop.

Any suggestions?
Does it work for you?

Best regards

Unfortunately support for this isn't fully done in R3.0. Two options are
available:
1. Attach the device before starting the VM (in VM settings, advanced
tab), shutdown the VM before removing the device
2. Install Qubes Windows Tools, but select custom installation and
enable PV disk driver (disabled by default). Then you can attach block
devices as to any other VM.

The second option is much more convenient of course, but unfortunately
the driver is unstable and may cause VM crashes (blue screen) and/or
data corruption.

The first option will work regardless of tools installation.

If you are going to use windows, you should expect some BSODs, so the second option should be satisfactory.
