RE: Spoofing CPUID to AppVM?

I am wondering if there is a straightforward way to spoof the CPUID to an AppVM, more specifically, to remove the "XenVMMXenVMM" string?

I am aware of these patches:

But was hoping for a solution that did not introduce additional maintenance burdens.
