A similar report is at

but unfortunately no solution. rpc.imapd is NFS, so I wonder if it's
network related. Try enabling all your NICs and connecting an ethernet
cable and installing. Then try disabling them all and installing.

That error message might also not be related to the real problem. Is it
the last line in the log? At what point in the installation do you
receive the error?

It would help if you gave some indication of what stage you reach
before this error appears, and whether this is the first (and only) error.
What happens after that error message appears?
