i try to install Windows 7 on my Qubes 4.0 OS.
I following the thread on the main site.
The HVM Domain i created successfully and now i try to install Windows 7 on it.
The DVD (OEM Version) is in my DVD drive.
With following command i try to install the Windows OS.
qvm-start my-new-vm --cdrom=/dev/cdrom
After this command i became following message "not enough values to unpack"
With fdisk -l i searched for the drive, but the permission denied.
I think that i used the wrong path?
About your help i very happy.
regards
i have a new scenario. :)
I deleted my old Windows7 VM and Downloaded the Iso file for the Windows OS.
Now i try to create a new VM in HVM mode with following command
- qvm-create my-new-vm --hvm --label green
After this i become this message
qvm-create: error:unrecognize arguments: --hvm
All HVM which i created before i deleted and the command works successfully.
What happened now?
regards and thx in advance
i created the HVM Windows VM successfully, yesterday.
Now i try to bind the Iso file into the VM.
My HVM VM name is Windows7-Professional-64Bit
The name of the Iso is windows7_64bit.iso. The image i download to my VM "Domin:work-> Downloads.
When i type the command qvm-start --cdrom=untrusted:/home/downloads/windows7_64bit.iso i become this error message
Failed to setup loop device for /home/downloads/windows7_64bit.iso
The other commands of the main site i try, too. Then the command promd says HVM allready run.Mh, i understand that the vm runs(qvm-start) but i cant fill the Iso into my VM.
Can someone help?
regards and thanks very much.
