You shold tell me more to be able to help...

- did you find the right USB device in dom0?

- did you assignet one of the USB controller to your netVM?

- did you see the PCI device in your netVM? (netvm# lspci)

- did you see any USB device in your netVM? (netvm# lsusb)

Hi Zrubi, I have the same problem as OP.
When I go with lspci, I see this:
00.01.0 Network Controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4313 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN Controller (rev 01).

That's my internal WiFi NIC.
I also want to use (sometimes, when I need extra power), an USB WiFi adapter, which I don't see with lspci.

So, my questions are 2:

1) How can I add the USB device to netVM? I don't see it when typing lsusb in netVM.
2) How can I then install both devices into the netVM? I assume the problem is that the drivers are not installed, is that correct?

Thank you!

Franz

You need to assign the whole USB controller to netVM  http://qubes-os.org/trac/wiki/AssigningDevices

I don't see it when typing lsusb in netVM.

after you assign the controller you'll see it

Thanks for the help, Franz.
I was able to install the USB WiFi with this.
The internal is still no-go. If you or anyone can suggest, that'll be great.
Like I said, I see it with lspci, but not with iwconfig, maybe the driver is missing?

And more urgently, when I try to connect to my wireless network using:
iwconfig wlan0 essid "My Wireless" key s:9482059681
(that's not the actual password of the wifi I'm using at this cafe, but it's the same lenght and its only numbers), I get this eror: SET failed on device wlan0 ; invalid argument.
I also tried converting the ascii key to hex, avoid using the "s:" argument and nothing, same thing.
Any ideas?
I searched over the net and I see people mentioning issues with drivers.
