Hi People!

I'm busy trying to make a Windows disposable VM.
Well i'm now writing this post so, i can't get it to work..

Does anyone know if it is possible to make a Windows disposable VM?
I'd like to hear from you.

Greetz Sander.

For a little more information.
I already tried to make a Windows template. Which was a succes.
Then i tried to make it a disposable VM. With the following command:
qvm-create-default-dvm [Templatename]
The error i get is:
Template not compatible with selected VM type.

I understand that my template right now is not compatible.
Is there someone who knows how to make it compatible or is this impossible?

Cheers,

Vít Šesták

I guess HVMs aren't supported as DVMs (yet).

Wait until Qubes 4, you will probably be able to do it. I can't promise it will work with Windows, but Qubes 4 will move towards HVMs instead of PVs and it will have reworked DVMs. So according to my best guess, it will work even with Windows under Qubes 4.0.

I am not sure if it is compatible with Windows license, though.
