Planning to put Solaar in dom0 (because I want my logitech mouse to work "as god intended")

So, there's a thing called Solaar

and it's used to make life easier for users of logitech mice.

I've just received a Logitech Performance MX as gift and want to used it with my main qubes desktop.

Has anyone succeeded using Solaar with qubes?

Any particular issues I should look forward to?

Or should I abandon this foolishness :) and do something like this https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Logitech_MX_Revolution ?
