Hi Qubes Users

I'm a fairly competent linux user (I work on clusters) and I am having issues installing qubes to my external SSD with my HP Spectre x360 (new gen)

Setup info: Using default setup, qubes ISO is on my USB external pen drive - followed correct DD image instructions. After some testing attempts with a basic password, I found qubes works when the ssd is connected via the USB-C port over the USB-3 port. So, pen drive in USB-3 port, boot, install qubes 4 RC2 to SSD on USB-C port - fine.

For some reason, when I install with full disk encryption using my more complex password which is ROUGHLY ~30 ASCii characters including punctuation, I am unable to boot.

I am pretty good at typing this password and getting it right, and I have tried re-installing and re-encrypting many times now. I am beginning to think it's not my own error, and that qubes may, for some reason, fail to boot if the pass for FDE is too complex?

Please let me know of your thoughts

There was an issue in RC1, where selected keyboard layout was not applied during disk de-encryption password prompt phase, and rather, the default one (qwerty) was applied instead. I do not know if this issue has been resolved.
Could that be it ?
