I was trying to back up a VM (a single VM if it matters) to a external drive that I had mounted in one of the appvms which I have done in 3.1 with no problems but here I got the following error:

Error: 'ascii' codec can't decode byte 0xd0 in position 0: ordinal not in range (128)

not sure what to make of it?

Do you have non-ASCII characters anywhere (e.g., VM name, backup name, passphrase)?

Does "-" count? Well regardless that seems to have been the problem as I had that in there, though I had used the exact same name before and it didn't make a diff? Anyway, no dash, no problem (it seems)?! Thanks!
