Hi folks,

I just gave CubesOS my first try after reading and thinking about that for quite a while.

I managed it to install the Cubes-ISO on an USB-Stick (USB-3, 64 GB) using a VM with debian on my MacbookPro (i5 with 2 * 2,5 Ghz, 8 GB)

After installing I bootet the stick with my 2nd Macbook holding ALT (bootmenue) , selected "Windows" as boot device and got Qubes running. I am not sure how everything should look like, but I can see:
- grub with a few options
- starting ramdisk
- a prompt on a black screen asking for the passphrase for the encrypted stick.

Keyboard inputs are not shown on the screen. Is that normal like in linux shell?

During installation I switched to german (language + keyboard) and I invented a very secure password using a few special characters.
Now I ask myself if my special characters are the problem here?
What language and keyboard is used at this point?

Is it possible to put the USB-Cubes into another Macbook anyway?

Thanx for any hint or help
