hmm well I followed directions to updated dom0 then rebooted. I did yum info qubes-core-dom0 and it says 3.2.3

only reason I did the upgrade cause I was hoping it would fix all the wake from suspend issues I'm getting since switching to xfce desktop. nmi watchdog soft lockup errors on irq, don't know exact message. Or just freezes after a couple mins from resuming. Thought maybe there is newer kernel that work better for the xfce in 3.2, sigh.

You can just upgrade dom0 using the same instruction. While GUI will not
work until then, the upgrade itself should be possible.

But you've said yum info show 3.2.x is available - which would mean you
have the packages already downloaded. Try just 'sudo yum update' in
dom0.

sudo yum update gave dependency errors. So i tried --skip broken and that said unable to read repodate from qubes-dom0.cached directory. I tried to the suggested command to skip that repo but its not going through.

Whole reason i tried this cause I'm having wake suspend issues on xfce that I haven't had previously when using kde. I thought the newer version might fix that. Or was that a dumb idea?

so the restore worked ok. only thing was I apparently forgot to back up the vm i used with ssh keys lol, and a cloned template i used for printing. ugh. just gonna back up all vms next time. but all my other vms restored no problem back to 3.1. Gonna stay with that until 3.2 is final and stick with kde for now.
