Hi all,
on the lenovo x220 tablet, R3.1rc2 does not boot when vt-d and virtualisation are enabled in the bios. I have to disable both.
I do not know whether this qualifies as a bug or something for the hcl, please advise.
Btw how to generate the nvm record?

The x220t is fairly close to some of the Qubes developer hardware: Sandy
bridge, T420s, etc. So this is pretty worrisome to hear Qubes won't boot
normally on it.

How fresh is your BIOS? If its old and updates are available, you may
want to do a BIOS update and try again.

After having tried to update the bios, it WAS actually up to date on my machine (v1.40, may 2015). I found the nice dmidecode command which allowed me to see that.
So there is an issue!

update: the PC hangs after the 3rd line out output (vmlinuz, ... initrd? I don't remember)
vt-d is the culprit, the other setting (VMM HW support) is ok. When setting vt-d on, the pc gets very hot, blank screen with blinking cursor, obviously stuck in a sw loop.
Where do I send the HCL report?

Marek, if i understand your post well, the culprit is the efi boot. So i set the boot to bios-legacy only, and vt-d, but it hangs the same after loading initrd. Issud still there.
