If you are familiar with some packaging, others shouldn't be much of an
issue (Debian is rather different, but also there are a lot of docs and
examples).

Yes, we do have some components written in Rust, but none related to the
template update.

But you may want to also take a look at some issue with "good first
issue" label. Seeing how you interact with the project may help with
