Installing Google Chrome & Others in Qubes

So I guess If i want omething to be persistent in my personal VM it
needs to be installed in the template VM ??
How can i retain my home directory, and files i download like browser
settings, data in my personal VM or just it
just occur??

Yes. There is somewhere Chrome package for Fedora. I recommend also rpmfusion
repository as it contains much more software than standard Fedora one.

Software installed in Template VM is available in all VMs based on it. But
/home (with all your files and settings) is per-VM, so it will just work as
you expect.

Great thanks for that, Ill add that repo, now as for all these gnome
based apps by default in qubes?? can i just uninstall/delete nuke them
I hate gnome, its crap. always used KDE

You can install whatever you want. We have tested gnome apps in VM, but I
don't expect any problems with KDE one.
Just remember to add apps to the menu (from Qubes VM Manager).

Ah, one more thing: qubes tools uses zenity, gpk-update-viewer,
NetworkManager-gnome and perhaps some more GNOME-specific app, so do not
remove at least this apps.
