awesome wm error after upgrading qubes-gui-dom0 3.2.6-1 (etc)

After upgrading dom0, I'm now getting the following error when starting
awesome wm:
/usr/share/awesome/lib/awful/rules.lua:117 bad argument #1 to 'match'
(string expected, got table).
Message repeats. And awesome is unusable.
