clearing full temp without vm shutdown / restart

is it possible to clear /tmp without restarting an appvm ?

i deleted a file using all the space, being konsole scroll back buffer

but it didnt clear the pace from the device

Perhaps some application keep its temp files open. Try "lsof", killing such
process should free the space.
