Docker login problems

Hi,

I am trying to authenticate to the quay.io but keep getting ‘Error response from daemon: Get "https://quay.io/v2/": toomanyrequests: Too many login attempts.‘

docker login -u my_username -p ************** quay.io

First it was erroring due to incorrect password.  I changed it as indicated in the error code.

Then it was saying that I was trying to often, so I left it for a while.   Still no luck in logging in.

I tried to set the CLI password, but I keep getting an error message 'Could not generate token'

Any ideas?   Also, the password in the docker command is the CLI password or the account password?
