Help Improve the Java Container Images Used by Quarkus

Hello everyone,

Jonathan Downland, the maintainer of the Java base images used in Quarkus, recently reached out to explore ways we could improve the overall experience and performance of these images. We use these images when building containers for Quarkus applications in JVM mode, so they are essential for us.
