Hi All,

Hope you are doing OK.

I'm still working on old PYXAID package. Right now, I am going to move to Libra package. So, I have issue to install Libra by building with Python3.  Int he middle of installation, the setup was broken down. The issue cannot read LibPython3. However, I used different versions of Python3 like ( 3.4 , 3.5.1, 3.5.9, and 3.8.2).

Just to bring your attention, I have already installed Libra and Pyxaid2 with building under Python2 and the installation was successful.

Would you please check what's going on?!

with best regards,
Esam

Hi Esam,

I would recommend you create a separate Conda environment for Python 3. If you do the installation withing the Conda environment with Python 2, the linker is probably locating the Python2 libraries by default, or otherwise somehow gets confused on which libraries to use. Also, make sure the Libra compiled with Python2 isn't in the pathes (LD_LIBRARY_PATH, PYTHONPATH), to avoid potential conflicts.

So, in short, please create a separate environment and follow the installation instructions (they may be slightly updated since you looked at them the last time).

Best,
Alexey
