Have encountered a theory question (sort of doubt); really appreciate it if someone can help me to resolve it
Consider two interface systems A/B and A/C and the electron transfer happens from donor A to acceptor B or acceptor C. If the NAC coupling between the most important conductions donor and acceptor states in system A/B is larger than system A/C, though acceptor C have more acceptor conduction state available below the donor states in A, which factors (stronger NAC or more available donor states in C) may weigh larger (is more important)?
I think the presence of more conduction states in C (below the donor level in A) can be an effective factor to accelerate the dynamics of the electron transfer from A into C, and it can compete the stronger NAC in system A/B.
