Hi All,

This is addressed to all guys who are working in Finance and have some experience with bond markets.

Please go through the attached mail and see if you fit the bill.

I know that many of you are working and perhaps someone is out there who is making a switch and has some time in the interim  to do a short assignment which is expected to last for not more than a month.

Please do not contact Mr. Sandeep right now. You have to talk to me first and I will direct you to him subsequently.

All the best.

Hi Mr. Nilakantan ,

The project that i was discussing involves making a paper that identifies how securitisation can play a role in enhancing capital flows to the green asset sectors:-

This will involve

" Understanding what is green - Inputs will be provided ".
Understanding the industry dynamics( specially w rt financing) of some of the assets that are green ie renewable energy, water infrastructure, some specific types of manufacturing , Green Housing , Low carbon Transport etc.

Understanding the nature of financial instruments that are used in financing ( Hire Purchase , Leasing , term loans, Project finance etc). Collecting figures( numbers related such industries ie loan iisbursed etc.) related to the same.

Understanding some issues related to Securitisation. Examining whether the kind of financial instruments used are suitable to be securitised,

While there is some data available on the above mentioned points, a fair amount needs to be gleaned by primary data / info collection from people who have been in the Industry for sufficiently long. This has not been written about much , thus this need.

Research on Long term investors ie retirement benefit funds, and insurance industry in India.- who are the most suitable investors for long term assets.

Proposed Methodology:-

The  student will be provided with some literature  on the above  and will be accompanied by the project guide to some interviews. Subsequently , the student needs to set up the appointments and conduct the interviews himself  and document the interview proceeds.

It is needed that the student has some understanding of Bond Markets/ Credit Rating/ Corporate Banking / Corporate Finance(/ Loan syndication( either of them).

Please let me know if you need any clarification.
