It is really a very painful task, pursuing (what appears to be an incomplete) research agenda of a younger and considerably brighter colleague than we are, who cannot respond to any injustice that we may have done to him in this paper, simply because he is no more with us. Looking around us, our only consolation is, that he may be happier where he is, than in the midst of the agony we are living in.

Instead of "complex analysis", courses on "Real Analysis" could be supplemented (more usefully for some) by "Square Matrices of Order Two".
