Inthe GUI for the container options there is currently an environment variable of PS1 which has the value $(whoami)@$(hostname):$(pwd)$ specified - I tried adjusting this to be my admin user credentials but got nowhere with it. Do you think I need to add PGID / PUID as variables and then appropriate values that relate to my system?

And to close the loop on this, I can now confirm that I am indeed an idiot - I was reading the port numbers backwards and trying to access via 2202 / 2203 when in fact the outward-facing ports were being set automatically as different numbers. Having now gone in and specified them as the same port numbers, it all appears to be working.

I am in literally the exact same boat. Tried installing ubooquity to no avail. Found the docker version and hoped it was easier but the guide is impossible to understand.

I was able to get the container installed but have no idea where to input the info they are noting. I found the terminal and assume it may be here but am unsure how. Fairly tech savvy but this is not clear. Any help would be much appreciated.

My storage volume is called Palmiter and the shared folder with comic directories is Comics.

I've had a lot of success with Ubooquity on my Raspberry Pi, accessing files through the Kuboo android app. I wish to switch to the unraid platform for the added flexibility and storage. I've set up the docker and can access everything correctly through the webUI (both with the "standard" port and the admin port). I've enabled OPDS in the advanced server settings. However, when trying to access through the Kuboo app, I continually get "Server not available."

Reading through this forum, I have attempted to set up the Kuboo app to access the unraid docker via xx:2202/ubooquity/opds-comics/ but it does not seem to work. I've also tried xx:2202/ubooquity/comics/opds-comics noting the specific urls used by the webUI. I'm running my unraid on a static IP, reserved through my router.

Worked for me with xx:2202/ubooquity/opds-comics/ but from what I can tell the Kuboo app is just awful and you have to force close it when changing server to get it to refresh. Even when adding multiple directories (books & comics for instance) you still have to manually switch your active server and do this force close nonsense - pretty lame. Once you get past that, it's decent.

Hello i am Having an issue with ubooquity docker and thought re-installing it would resolve my issue, the template has changed since i installed it some time ago. i followed my old template as much as possible but where should path /files be pointing ?

Ubooquity supports many types of files, with a preference for ePUB, CBZ, CBR and PDF files. Metadata from library management software Calibre and ComicRack are also supported. Ubooquity lets you create user accounts and set access rights for each shared folder.

Admin webui can be found at -ip:2203.

Library webui can be found at -ip:2202. You can also access it by clicking on the ubooquity logo at top left of the admin page, or use a mobile app (preferred option, see above for instructions)

The default username/password : described in the startup log.

Configurations can be done through the app webUI, except for the following options

Sadly it wont work over ssl without keystore and I have yet to find a good way of importing my lets encrypt certificate. Until I figure that out the addon will lie dormant because I really cant integrate it anywhere (not even into a custom panel).

Hello,

I have a docker containing ubooquity (a book library). It uses 2 ports (2202 for the library and 2203 for the admin).

For the moment I have used Traefik to be able to access the library but I would like to be able to access the admin part using the same domain (adding /admin at the end of the domain).

Thanks to all of you for your help. Hopefully I have learnt something and will remember it.

I find it difficult to understand the different prefix options. I have read and read the documentation but can't fully understand when to use one or the other.

Ubooquity is a free, lightweight and easy-to-use home server for your comics and ebooks library. Ubooquity supports many types of file formats, for example: ePUB, CBZ, CBR and PDF files. I use it as a replacement for Calibre and it works just great. In this step by step guide I will show you how to install Ubooquity on your Synology NAS using Docker. Remember, Ubooquity is not developed anymore. You should look at the best alternative Komga and Kavita.

Go to File Station and open the docker folder. Inside the docker folder, create one new folder and name it ubooquity. Follow the instructions in the image below.

Note: Be careful to enter only lowercase, not uppercase letters.

The installation process can take up to a few seconds/minutes. It will depend on your Internet speed connection. Now open your browser and type in -ip-address:2202/ubooquity Click on books. Follow the instructions in the image below.

You can access the Ubooquity admin dashboard from a different address. Open your browser and type in -ip-address:2203/ubooquity/admin Choose an administrator password, then click SUBMIT. Follow the instructions in the image below.

You can set different parameters. For example, you can change the size of your book thumbnails. After you change the parameter at the top right of the page, click SAVE AND RESTART. Follow the instructions in the image below.

First, in the admin comfiguration, in the Advanced tab, you need to check the Enable OPDS feed, which will allow your books and comics to be accessed to the server via :2202/opds-books in the application on Android.

In order to access it remotely, ideally you should have already set a external website. In many cases, it is .synology.me. In your router, you need to allow for the ports to be forwarded. In this case, you need to forward the port 2202. Once that has been done, you should be able to access it via :2202/ubooquity

If you have enabled Samba or FTP on your server, you can access your files directly (or via FTP) via the application CDisplay Ex. I always loved using the program [CDisplay] by David Ayton, but he passed away in 2003, where Derek Quenneville continued hosting his website. Then a guy (unnamed) continued his work with CDisplay Ex. He actually does a really good job in bringing back CDisplay, and he made an Android application. This is in fact my application of choice for reading via SMB.
