About the Speaker :

 

Mr Milind Gare has done his BE (Mechanical) from VRCE Nagpur in 1981. He has spent almost 20 years in Materials department and was involved in procurement of Raw Material Steel, sheet metal components and has also handled imports of various components. Subsequently, he was interface between Tata Motors and world famous consultants Mckinsey, alongwith whom they jointly  pursued cost reduction activity across all plant locations. 

 

 

About the Topic :

 

To meet the challenges of survival & profitability the concept of Integrated Cost Reduction has emerged. This approach was much refined by various consulting agencies like McKensie, PWCH, Boston Consulting Group etc. With this approach many Organisations has saved a lot. The topic covers holistic approach, various avenues available, tools for ICR etc. This also covers various case studies with special focus on Materials Engineering.
