GD&T is always hot subject and is important for DFM. Ignoring it or not using it scientifically ends up in high cost of quality. It is a symbolic language with which to research, refine and finally encode the functions of each feature of a machine part by specifying permissible limits of imperfection to guarantee its operation, assimilability, manufacturability and inspectability.
In this lecture Mr Atul Pasalkar will take us systematically through Importance of GD&T, its brief History, its advantage over coordinate measuring system, rules for GD&T, various symbols used and its meaning.
Mr. Atul Pasalkar, certified Six Sigma Black Belt, having more then 12 years industrial experience, is Mechanical Engineer from J. T. Mahajan Collage of Engineering. He is well known experienced quality professional, Trainer GD & T, CSSBB & CMQ OE from ASQ and certified Lead Auditor. Presently he is working as Senior Manager Quality and Customer Claim Process Owner at Alfa Lavel India Ltd. Prior to this he was experience at John Deere as Executive Supplier Quality, at ABB as Head Supplier Quality assurance, Kinetic Engineering Ltd, Ingersoll Rand India Ltd etc. His expertise and conduct training in Green Belt, 5 S Implementation, GD &T, FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, Kaizens, Supplier Audit & improvements, Customer Claim Process- design & implementation etc.
