An Edward Stanley quote has been taped to my refrigerator for the past decade:
 
“Those who think they have not time for bodily exercise will sooner or later have to find time for illness”.
 
I was only nine years old when Philip Crosby wrote Quality Is Free. I never saw him speak--never even met him. I was reading comic books, not Businessweek and Time, when those prestigious magazines profiled his industry-changing work.  But when I was introduced to his books as a young executive, I knew I had found the business equivalent of something I strive for in my personal life every day. Mr. Crosby had given me a proven way to apply the “do it right the first time” philosophy that already ruled my personal life to my business life. What a gift to receive from a person I never had the chance to meet.  I am honored to work for his company today, and to help further his work.
