PURPOSE:
Serves as a project/ leader or a project team member, on assigned projects, in identifying system requirements, analyzing processes/workflows, compiling data, assessing scope/risks, and implementing solutions.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Creates and maintains an effective working relationship within the business unit and acts as the liaison for Insurance Operations, working with IT
• Develop communications appropriate for various levels within Ins Ops and serves as a communication liaison between Ins Ops and IT.
• Serves as a project leader or a project team member, on assigned projects, in identifying system requirements, analyzing processes/workflows, compiling data, assessing scope/risks, and implementing solutions.
• Assists in the implementation of new business processes and system solutions including development of implementation plans including timelines and training needs.
• Provides guidance and leadership to less experienced team members.
• Works with business area to design manual work processes due to lack of system capability.
• Analyzes business problems and develops creative solutions. Follows a logical process and presents cost/benefit data and alternative solutions in a way that enables decision making.
• Participate as a team member or coordinator on various projects involving mass mailings, tax reporting, data cleanup activities or other projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
• Two (2) to four (4) years of progressively responsible business analysis experience.
• Experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Experience with Project Management and Software Development Life Cycle methodologies (SDLC).
• Experience in the financial services industry.
• Experience with 3rd party software packages preferred.
• Experience with life and annuity industry preferred.
• Works independently with minimal direction from management.
• Good problem solving, communication, conflict management skills.
• Results oriented, self motivated individual who takes ownership over assignments.
