I wish so much, Alex, you'd do this review, because the www.sources.li/RHNH.pdf (Reconstruction of Human & Natural History following Velikovsky's [whom I knew as a friend] Worlds in Collision) is demanding a really fundamental www.sources.li/ParadigmChange-e.pdf, just along your own lines of thinking (don't LOL, just smile: but I can well imagine a sort of www.sources.li/SGR-e.pdf, ie a Substance-relevant Gravitation Resonance, vortex between us).

1. WiC was reviewed by Macmillan by 3 peers before beeing published.
2. Harlow Shapley had all unversities with astronomy departments refuse to buy any more textbooks, if Macmillan, the biggest scientific text book publisher, did not give up WiC.
3. They gave it up!!! & transferred it to Doubleday (as a non-scientific publisher).
4. After the prediction that Venus as a new planet was still blazing hot had been proven true by the first Russian Venera probes (they had been built as the first step to colonize the "earthlike" planet, as perfect Marxist world).
5. On the discovery Carl Sagan & Co began explaining that the planet had become heated up by the "greenhouse effect"; the people following this idiocy became known as the Greens & insisted that the earth would undergo the same fate & end the same way. 
6. Green is the astrological colour for Venus. The AAAS on Sagan's initiative organized a "Velikovsky Symposium" (San Francisco 1974) to get rid of the Shapley boycott scandal (certainly the biggest & most shameful of 20th century science).
7. & now we have the salvation plan (still more absurd than the religions), including the enormous salvation business of saving the world from "man-made climate change".
