Upcoming Quake Events

Hi All,

Just wanted to share some of the upcoming events on the Quake Calendar for the next two months as you can see it's a busy time during the holidays:

• Tuesdays Happy Hour 6 PM @ CCs (1701 E. Olive Way at Boylston)
  Come join the Quake for Happy Hour Socializing for good drinks and food.  We plan to host the happy hour off season as a way for the club to have a regular social event.  You know how we all start to miss each other after a couple of weeks off the pitch.
• Quake Annual General Meeting @ Cuff - Saturday, 11/15 at 2 PM (1533 13th Ave @ Pine)
  The Annual General Meeting is required for all current dues paying members (both players and social members) so that we will have quorum.  It's the one meeting we have a year so please attend.  We will be voting on officers and board members.
• Calendar Promotional Bar Crawl - Saturday 11/15 after AGM
  We will proceed on a bar crawl after the AGM to promote our Calendar Release Party next Friday, 11/21.
• Calendar Release Party @ True Love Art Gallery - Friday 11/21 (1525 Summit Ave Between Pike & Pine)
  All members are encouraged to come and promote the calendar at the release party this is our clubs biggest fund raiser of the year and we need to make it a success.  Also we will be doing calendar signing so bring a sharpie.  There will be more email about expectation for club members and calendar sales. 
• Jameson Irish Whiskey Tasting & Calendar Sales @ Purr - Thursday, December 11 (1518 11th Ave between Pike and Pine)
  Jameson has just renewed their two year sponsorship of the club and to celebrate are hosting a whiskey tasting for the club.  
• Rucktacular in San Francisco - Saturday, December 13
  The Quake's second year to participate in this West Coast tournament with the other IGRAB clubs (San Diego, Los Angeles & San Francisco).  This will be a fun weekend with some serious rugby.  There will be a light social on Friday night followed by rugby on Saturday and some big partying on Saturday night. 
• Calendar Sales Events - Multiple Locations
  Watch your email there will be a host of upcoming calendar sales events again the club participation is very crucial for the calendar sales.  The more we sale the more we can do as a club and the less likely that club dues will increase.  
• Holiday Party - Saturday, January 17 or 24 - Currently planning for either Saturday, January 17 or 24 based on availability of the Russian Hall.  More information will be sent once the location is secured.  Start thinking of your Kangaroo Court Charges NOW!!!
• New Player Orientation @ Bobby Morris aka Cal Anderson Park - Saturday, January 31 @ 3:30 PM (1635 11th Ave @ Pine)
  The next Quake New Player Orientation is the last Saturday in January. Please start promoting it now and encourage alumni and previous Quake members to strap on boots and come back out for some rugby.
• Spring Practices @ Magnuson Park Pitch #5 (7400 Sand Point Way NE)
  Monday & Wednesday 6:30 PM starting on Monday, February 2.  Our first match is currently scheduled for Saturday, March 14 but we will likely schedule a friendly or two before the season kicks off.
