Ісус Христос вчив, що темрява ворожнечі губить людей і міста, і ніяке місто, де немає миру й злагоди, не виживе (Матвія 12:25). Іван Богослов у Об'явленні пророкує, що постане нове святе місто, рай на землі, де Бог житиме з людьми, не буде болю та смерті, і смиренні народи ходитимуть у світлі (Об'явлення 21:1-24). Апостол Андрій благословив київські гори, на яких виросла столиця України. Вільям Пенн побудував своє місто-сад, Філадельфію, натхненний цим пророцтвом. У День Києва Друзі України молилися з увагою до питання, як побудувати мирне місто тут і зараз, читали послання щорічних зборів Секції Європи і Близького Сходу Всесвітнього Консультаційного Комітету Друзів, знайомилися, спілкувалися і слухали "Гімн вільних цивільних".

Jesus Christ taught that the darkness of enmity destroys people and cities, and no city could stand without peace and harmony (Matthew 12:25). Apostle John the Theologian in his Book of Revelation prophesies that a new holy city, a heaven on Earth will arise, where God will dwell with people, where there will be no more pain or death, and the humble nations will walk in the light (Revelation 21:1-24). Apostle Andrew blessed the hills of Kyiv, upon which the capital of Ukraine grew. William Penn built his garden-city, Philadelphia, inspired by this very prophecy. At the Kyiv Day, Friends of Ukraine worshipped with attention to the query how to build a peaceful city here and now, had read the Epistle of the FWCC EMES Annual Meeting, get acquainted, chatted and listened the "Hymn of Free Civilians".
