Підтримуючи у світлі всіх, хто страждає від війни та чинить ненасильницький спротив війні, Квакери, Друзі України, свідчили у Богослужіннях про мир і правду. Олександр із Запоріжжя розповів про щоденні обстріли та руйнування історичної менонітської школи, про надії на припинення війни та початок духовного відродження. Артем переповів історію багатодітної родини біженців із Краматорська, яка постраждала від цілеспрямованих атак дронів на цивільних, і нині вони живуть в Києві; Друг закликає підтримувати людей у зоні бойових дій та планує передати смаколики дітям-біженцям. Юрій розповів про варварські балістичні бомбардування Києва, відсутність невійськової служби для сумлінних відмовників, щоб чинити спротив російській агресії, про доповідь на науковій конференції, де він сказав правду, добре відомі факти, що віруючі швидше стануть мучениками, ніж солдатами, що не можна переслідувати людей за віру, і розповів, як у той же день ввечорі йому прислали повідомлення про скасування відстрочки наукового працівника, що збільшує ризик повторення насильницької мобілізації. Друзі молилися за Маргарет і Наталію, що потерпають від катастрофічної негоди, і за Джона, який стурбований шумом військової авіації над містом. Також після молитовних зборів обговорювали прес-реліз "Катування, неволя та відсутність альтернативної служби: EBCO закликає Україну забезпечити право на сумлінну відмову". Коли кремлівський тиран боїться правди про можливість вільного життя без диктаторів на шиї у сусідній країні і творить беззаконня; коли травмовані його беззаконням українські військові репресують віруючих, як під комуністичним злочинним режимом, і бояться правди про можливість та необхідність ненасильницького спротиву російській агресії вільних цивільних людей заради мирного майбутнього України - не треба боятися казати правду гучніше. Як вчив Христос: Ви пізнаєте правду, і правда зробить вас вільними (від Івана 8:32).

Called by Conscience

Upholding in the Light all those who suffer from war and resist war nonviolently, Quakers, Friends of Ukraine, bore witness to peace and truth in their ministries. Oleksandr from Zaporizhzhia spoke about the daily shelling and the destruction of a historical Mennonite school, expressing hopes for an end to the war and the beginning of a spiritual rebirth. Artem shared the story of a large refugee family from Kramatorsk that suffered from targeted drone attacks on civilians and currently lives in Kyiv; the Friend calls for supporting people in the combat zone and plans to bring treats to the refugee children. Yurii spoke about the barbaric ballistic bombardments of Kyiv, the lack of non-military service for conscientious objectors to resist Russian aggression, and his report at an academic conference where he spoke the truth — the well-known fact that pacifist people of faith would rather become martyrs than soldiers, and that people must not be persecuted for their faith. He also shared how, on the evening of that very same day, he received a notice revoking his deferment as a scientific worker, increasing the risk of forced mobilization happening to him again. Friends prayed for Margaret and Natasha, who are suffering from catastrophic severe weather, and for John, who is troubled by the noise of military aircraft flying over his city. Additionally, after the meeting for worship, Friends discussed the press release titled "Torture, detention and denial of alternative service: EBCO calls on Ukraine to uphold the right to conscientious objection." When the Kremlin tyrant fears the truth about the possibility of a free life without dictators on one's neck in a neighboring country and commits lawlessness; when Ukrainian military officials, traumatized by his lawlessness, repress believers just like under the criminal communist regime and fear the truth about the possibility and necessity of nonviolent resistance to Russian aggression by free civilians for the sake of Ukraine's peaceful future — one must not be afraid to speak the truth even louder. As Christ taught: "You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free" (John 8:32).
