it's a shame the reputation of quakers is being put at risk by the Friends Life (formally Friends Provident) company's refusal to payout on the critical illness policy of one Nic Hughes, which has generated quite a campaign on the internets - http://goo.gl/YX5fF

they of course ceased to have any (meaningful) quaker connexion years ago, but that doesn't stop them from trying to bask in our good reputation on their website - http://goo.gl/Ql2z8

A: What a terrible case.  Even though it's within the letter of the law, it clearly is against the spirit of.  Something anyone who dully refers to the illegality (or what they have perceived to be so) of summat [when it just so happens to conform to their predetermined views] should reflect on.

B: Love you for correctly spelling connexion!

C: Groups and individuals with active connexions to the Society are doing a good enough job of damaging its reputation from within.  "Utterly destroyed" might not an understatement.
