IRC?

Is there somewhere that developers can chat in real-time about this
project? I'm highly interested in porting a playable version of Quake
II to the web to reinvigorate the community, and hopefully port over
some popular mods like Action Quake

I don't know of an IRC channel anywhere, but if you set one up and point it out here, perhaps other will join in (personally, I'm pretty slammed right now and won't be doing much of anything until after Google I/O). Not quite the same as IRC, but you could also try out this group on Wave (http://wave.google.com/wave/?pli=1#restored:wave:googlewave.com!w%252B3QkOMmDzA.1). There's only the "welcome wave" right now, but you could change that :) If you don't have a wave account, ping me and I'll send an invite (that goes for anyone else reading this as well).
