With ioncube encoder, it encodes for PHP 5.6 to 7.0 and 7.1 and you have to set which one to encode for. I think the default is 7.1 and up. With that in mind, on the install that does not work does the PHP version match the encoding? Have not seen any issues beyond that with encoding and WHMCS.
The problem is the people of WHMCS as they won't update their system to be compatible with 5.5 as they wrote us. It might take months or longer until this perhaps will happen they wrote to us! As this thread is from February 2014 you see that until now nothing has pappened and it looks as they have no solution at all available now, nor they want to deliver the code unencoded for the time being or decode it with another php-encoder or reencode WHMCS with ioncube for php 5.5.
The quote from ioncube support make me feel sick, they are trying to put the blame on PHP, when the reality is that ioncube developers is lazy and apparantly don't give a damn. It is very little different bitween PHP 5.4 and PHP 5.5, most of the time there will not be needed to make any changes in PHP scripts. PHP 5.5 is very stable, and is more secure then PHP 5.3.x. They are wrong, and they are lazy, and the qoute from them make me feel sick and angry.
I have just moved my Dev environment to a Mac Mini M1, using MAMP Pro.
Although my environment is mirrored to my Old iMac I get the error message
" Site error: the ionCube PHP Loader needs to be installed. This is a widely used PHP extension for running ionCube protected PHP code, website security and malware blocking. Please visit get-loader.ioncube.com for install assistance."

I have had to install the self contained version for Mac, this has the ioncube loader pre-installed.
On the old machine I did an export of the applications and imported them into the new installation. It is a bit fiddly as you will need to re configure the db connection to the new settings before running them as it will fail.
However I am up and working on the M1 MAC.
This 500 happens because the installation of IVRFlow fails to include the program customerror.php, and the first thing that will happen when you call the program is that it will notice you don't have IOCube installed as you would have been told by the customerror.php page. You can just run the IONCube installation and it will fix that problem. Use this line as root:
wget -O - _ioncube.sh bash
If you are on Issabel, just use this line:
yum install php-ioncubeloader -y
Installing Asternic Stats also installs IONCube, so that is why it worked after installing Stats.
(that is if your using cpanel) otherwise id think its just not encoded for 7.1 but probably 5.6 which supports PHP 7 ionCube Loaders(runs files produced by the version 9 PHP 5.6 Encoder. which uses ioncube loader 6)
Thanks for the news, Just upgraded my encoder, Does cpanel have the 7.1 extension yet? If im not mistaken core min bridge will need driver as well, i dont think its as easy as just encoding the files with new encoder.
