thishidden network appeared recently to me, i can't tell exactly the time, but i'm sure that it wasn't there when i first bought the router, i'm suspecting that this wifi appeared when i updated to the firmware v10.0.5.33 (i have the ax3 quad core global), i contacted huawei support trought e-mail but i haven't got a awnser yet, if you could reset the router to test if the hidden wifi will disappear that would help, i can't do because my network will get disconnected and i would have to contact the ISP
i have the ax3 pro global version, and my router also doesn't downgrade using the normal global firmware, i found this one (link below) that it gets flashed, but i haven't found any differences between this and the most updated
here is the link: -20_10.0.5.26_main_debug.zip/file
But what I am trying to install in the Brazilian router (WS7200-30) is the Chinese firmware, not the global one, because I want to be able to keep using the additional amplifiers that this hardware has. I would like to flash the Chinese version because I have another router which is actually a Chinese version (WS7200-10) and I want to make them work in a mesh setup.
I wouldn't get your hopes up about OpenWrt support on this model for a long while (if ever), between the device probably being locked down, ipq50xx not being a supported target yet, and the nand flash on the new model probably needing a new driver. (DS32M1GA, however the datasheet is available...)
Hello everyone, I have 3 units of the Huawei AX3 Pro with firmware 10.0.5.33 - one of the unit managed to detect the new firmware version 10.0.5.36 and upgraded successfully. However the other two units don't seems to be able to find the update
I could'nt find the @lintel post were he said it was possible.
In the website link, it talks about Xiaomi pro, but not the Huawei AX 3 Pro.
What does it mean hisilicon's driver is binary ? would openwrt be supported ?
I just got the AX3 Pro, and found your link to the global firmware. But the question is, how to install it? The device show only Chinese UI, and tehre is no USB Port, so how do I get the Firmware installed?
Anyone know how can I give feedback on AX3 Pro directly to Huawei? Their forum is a mess, there's no specific area or topic regarding this router.
I have an odd problem: my ISP forces a new IP after 48 hours (expected, as it's dynamic), and when this happens, the router shows a captive portal on all connected devices and blocks internet access until I turn WiFi off and back on (on the client device, no interaction with router is required). If I do this, internet works right away, but on Android TV is impossible to do that as this captive portal keeps opening, closing, refreshing and redirecting, making the device unusable as the portal blocks all UI. Why a captive portal on a home router, Huawei, why?
I'm using PPPoE dialing and IPv4+IPv6. I suspect it's related to IPv6, as It happens whenever the ISP DHCP lease expires, and the router shoul re-assign a new prefix to all devices once the old one becomes invalid.
For testing, I will disable IPv6 for now, but obviously this is not a solution.
I upgraded the firmware to 10.0.5.41 (using this file) and it seems to works fine. I noticed one new option regarding power saving. Unfortunately, there is no change log, so I really don't know if there is any other improvement or bugfix.
Still testing to see if my issue regarding IPv6 expiral and captive portal showing up was addressed.

Has anyone had success with the Huawei E3372 LTE modems. We could get it to work in HiLink DHCP mode, but we need the modem to present the WAN IP address directly to the XG interface. HiLink mode uses NAT, so we have managed to Re-Flash the modem with firmware to convert it to Stick (Serial) Mode.
Our XG is detecting the modem's COM ports and attempts to connect, but just sits on connecting forever. We have the correct APN for telstra.extranet which provides us with a static IP address and the correct phone number of *99#
Configure the connection and if it works then you know you are looking at an issue with SFOS otherwise you might have the wrong firmware for your device (remember firmware is region specific, although some/most will work globally)
Phone number has been with Fido for at least two years, and was working fine with Wifi Calling when I enabled it two months ago. It only stopped working at about the same time I upgraded the phone firmware to build 156, about a week or two ago.
Phone was bought from Fido. I strongly suspect that Wifi Calling was broken either by the new firmware, or by a Google Play update that would have occurred at around the same time (I didn't notice the exact moment the Wifi Calling icon disappeared).
I finally took the time to do a complete factory default reset of my phone, which resolved the issue. I can only assume that when firmware 9.1.0.156 was installed, the Wifi Calling parameters got somehow corrupted, and just disabling/re-enabling it wasn't sufficient to resolve it.
I have seen other users report similar issues with either VoLTE or Wifi Calling when upgrading their P30 or P30 Pro, with various providers (not just Fido). I assume it's a bug in the firmware upgrade process.
Huawei Stock ROM is used to update the operating system of Huawei devices and to fix any bugs or errors that may have occurred. It also helps keep the device secure by providing the latest security patches.
While in general third-party firmware (Custom ROM) has system bugs and stability issues. In this case, you may experience battery issues, network issues, camera issues, missing features, lags, overheating, slow performance, and many more. But whenever you switch to Stock ROM, you can quickly fix them all.
[*] After flashing (installing) the Huawei Stock ROM on your device, you may need to flash (install) the IMEI using the IMEI tool provided with the firmware file. If you are going to flash the IMEI, then flash the Original IMEI that comes with your device.
I managed to unlock an old TPG issued Huawei HG659 by using the website you linked to: _hg659_b . I followed the instructions in section Flashing ANY Firmware and downloaded the .BIN file(s) from the Firmware Images section.
So digging further I backed up the HG659 settings (as I logged in as a super user) and wanted to check for any differences. Tried to decrypt the saved backup *.conf file using
whrl.pl/ReNwP6 (this method), it now doesn't work as previously.
I still can't connect to my ISP with the spark firmware.
Doesn't allow me to select IPOE setup or no username, I noticed some of the other firmware does allow you to select how does it connect to the internet, but the spark firmware doesn't allow that.
I still have mine with the Spark Firmware and tweaked with an extra admin account.
Never tried to use it for my NBN connection (my fritzbox is so much more featured).
Also have a ZTE H268A which looks so much the same as the huawei.
Did try to connect with the ZTE but failed, most probably by not configuring it properly (some settings are a bit of a mystery to me).
I have the Iprimus HG659 and tried the ideas posted. Spark 22 Firmware would confirm update with 4 LAN leds flashing but wouldn't overwrite the iprimus firmware. I tried vodafone 26 as other post suggested but no go. Looks like its locked to carrier.
Firmware Finder is an unofficial app exclusively for Huawei devices that lets you download and install the latest official firmware update for your particular device. It is by no means an illegitimate or harmful tool, as the downloaded files are always the ones officially published by the company at a previous date.
Once installed, the app will detect your specific smartphone model and display a list of all possible updates, along with their rollout dates. When a new update is published, rollout is staggered among all users, meaning that there can be a difference of weeks between one device and another, even if they're similar and located in the same country. Firmware Finder speeds up this process.
To speed up the installation, the app uses a proxy to make the Huawei remote verification server think that it's 'time' to roll out the update. All you need to take into consideration is the type of update you install, as a full version of firmware can be installed without any problem (they tend to exceed 1GB), whilst OTAs are partial modifications which require a particular version in order to act as a temporary fix instead of a complete override. For this reason, we recommend always using Full updates.
Firmware Finder is a useful tool that helps people who are eager to update their devices as soon as possible while also resolving any problems related to the delay in deploying new versions of firmware modified by specific service providers.
Uptodown is a multi-platform app store specialized in Android. Our goal is to provide free and open access to a large catalog of apps without restrictions, while providing a legal distribution platform accessible from any browser, and also through its official native app.
