I'm creating a separate topic for this game:

From Kasey Christensen in the Alien Isolation thread:

Hey Fred is there a way to get two controls to pulse back and forth? I'm trying to play tomb raider definitive edition and it needs me to hit the left stick left and right quickly and I can't do it fast enough but I was wondering if I set the left joystick left and right to a button such as left-center puff with pulse 5 if that would work for something like that. Or would it tried to do both functions at once?

Fred:  Could you map them to a sip & puff on the same hole?  You could probably alternate that pretty quickly.

Kasey:  I could but there are other buttons that I need to use more frequently.

I think this discussion needs its own topic.  It gets confusing talking about two different games in the same thread:

I found this site that talks about shaking the left stick in Tomb Raider:

When it comes to quick-time events, you'll need to act rapidly to avoid succumbing. When you're trying to overcome an enemy like a bad guy or wolf, shake the left analog stick like crazy. There's really no technique to this, just waggle it back and forth until the button prompt begins to appear. On occasion, you'll also be asked to tap the X or square button – depending on the version.

With the button prompts, a large circle will begin closing in on a smaller one. Don't hit any buttons until you see the icon appear! Usually, these functions are saved for the Y or triangle button. Don't hit it too early, though, or Lara's done for. Wait for the circles to get closer together, then hit the button. Do it at the right time, and Lara will escape unharmed. This may take a couple of tries, but don't get frustrated – you've got enough lives.

This sounds like what Kasey is talking about.  It would be hard to switch modes in the middle of an attack, so its got to be something you can do in any mode.

Another site with some good info:  http://tombraiders.net/stella/walks/controls/TR9controls.html

Kasey, can you send a link to the configuration spreadsheet you are currently using for this game?

Can you do a triple sip/puff?

Interesting.

The "repeat" is really "repeat 10", ten times per second, and when both repeat and repeat 15 are activated, they run at different rates, so, 5 times a second, the difference between the rates, they will go in and out of sync.  When both joystick left and right outputs are both activated at the same time, they cancel out.  The net effect is this will wiggle the stick back and forth five times a second.

I just tested it and it works.

Another example of Jeffrey coming up with an unintended, but useful, effect!

Thanks fred :D , I saw it like this, if the timeframe is 1sec =1000 ms (hopefully it lines up like it does on my iPad

Repeat[10] =(100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000)
Repeat 15= (67,133,200,266,333,400,466,533,600,666,733,800,866,932,1000)
Relap points (0. 1. 2 . 3. 4. 5.

Hey Fred I ended up changing the profile to be able to be used for the rise of tomb raider. But here's the link to the profile I use for that.

Hey Jeffrey I'll have to remember that the next time I make a profile. That could come in quite handy.
