so recently my QS has been constantly restarting itsef, over and over again. i don't know how to do much so please dumb it down lol

could be a power issue If it's constantly powering up on boot. Try a different cable Sometimes they wear out. are you on console and or on PC When this happens
. I play on PC myself I had to buy a wall Powered USB hub Give the QS extra juice. As well as turn off certain features to prevent Usbs power saving. ill Go more in detail on that if you're on PC

What is it connected to?

What, if anything, is connected to the USB-A port?

What is the timing of the reset?

Is it a full reset with all the lights flashing several times, or is it just the #2 & #4 red leds lighting up for one second?

i think it's the fps quadstick. i don't know how it was configured or what you mean by that. i was gifted this by craig and able gamers. it does a full restart as if it was unplugged and then plugged back in.

There would be a serial number printed on the back of the quadstick.

There is a receipt in the box that contains the order number.

Either of these would do.

Ablegamers does not always order the same configuration.   There are over a dozen different sets of "factory" files depending on the options ordered.

Since the PS5 recognizes the quadstick natively, I would focus on troubleshooting the FGC2.  Is it in fact a Brook Wingman FGC2?  They make several different types of adapters and they all work differently.

Try updating the FGC2 firmware again.  Use the most recent NON-test version.

The PS5 requires pressing the "PS" button to wake up the connection.  That is typically a soft sip on the center hole.

The Dual Shock USB only settings and disabling the PS5 bluetooth will prevent the DS controller from taking over the connection.

You can plug the DS controller into the FGC2, and the FGC2 into the PC or PS5 to test it independently from the Quadstick.

I found the order.

That PS5 part of the response was meant for another user.  You are using the quadstick with a PC.

Resets can be caused by poor power quality or by the host (the PC) stopping communication either intentionally or due to a bad connection.  If the host stops or suspends the USB port, the Quadstick will reboot in an effort to reconnect to the host, but it should work in between.  

Aggressive power saving settings in Windows can sometimes be the root of the problem.  Windows sees the flash drive on the Quadstick and tries to power it down, not realizing the same device is being used for other things.

When Windows updates it sometimes restore default settings.  We just had a Windows update last Tuesday and that is when you first emailed.

Look at the power settings and adjust them for maximum performance.  Also, go through the USB suspend settings outlined in the manual:  https://quadstick.s3.amazonaws.com/documents/user_manual/um/windows_10.htm

Like Jeffrey mentioned, a powered USB hub can be a help since Windows cannot suspend it.
