Hey I'm new to gaming and I have a quad stick to hook to my xbox one.  I was wondering if someone could help me figure out how to move/run and look around at the same time. If someone please help it would be much appreciated.

Simple sollution that works for me:

kb_w toggle mp_left_center_puff  forward

kb_s toggle mp_left_center_sip  backwards

kb_w force_of mp_left_center_sip

kb_s force_off mp_left_center_puff

mouse_up normal up

mouse_down nomal down

mouse_left normal left

mouse_right normal right

This works for me fine in Assassins Creed or The Division 1 & 2. If you are more capabale than me put the a & d to the mouthpice.

so what I do for cod is on the right stick sheet you can do auto walk by doing delay latch on left joy  up and down so u can move and look and here is my config

Overwatch is the easiest FPS, I think. Mechanically anyway.

so if you are just starting out fps multiplayer will be frustrating until you get the hang of it it's like jumping in a shark tank

For me I started out on a few hack n slash style games skyrim & the witcher 3

The witcher 3 is such an immersive game and I have played it again and again a gazillion times, good way to get familiar with your controller also :-) But definitely not a game to be played around children as it full of gratuitous sex & violence the finishing moves in the sword fights are spectacular. If you like the TV series you'll definitely love the game

First time round I would play Fallout 4 it's a shooter with a difference & some of the weapons you can get around believable, the one thing I loved about it is the has a VATS aiming system that allows you to choose what part of the target you want to shoot. It also allows youu to add some mods right from the get go, I cheated on my first couple of playthroughs Some seriously good fun. My first game I also use God mode gear

 I suggest hack type games with the focus of simplicity of the controlls. Try first make your charakter move and beeing able to fight. After that setup the secondary controls. For me AC4 and Rogue went well because their controlls are 99% identical. For me it helped alot not to aim with guns. Witcher 3 also went well. A few weks ago i started with The Division 1 & 2 and shooting and aiming is a full different animal. Personaly i believe Div 1&2 are great games to get involved in mmo shooter. You can start playing it alone, jump into a group and leave it any time. You find your playstyle and the way to adapt your QS to your needs. I ironed out my two profiles for Div 1&2 and it starts to feel more fluid in my gameplay and i am still in the beginnig to understand all the different options of my QS. The QS is the best bit of machinery i could get my fingers, i mean lips, on!

Don't try to achieve all in one go, it wont work. Steady learning and it all comes over time.

so I don't know what your budget is but turtle beaches, arctis and hyper x cloud are good, depending on what you will be playing on the ps4 ones usually work on pc also. i have the turtle beach stealth 700 gen 2 and they work on playstation pc and mobile. the only bad thing is u can't leave them alone for more than 15 minutes with no sound or they shut off
